FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER, BATHGATE (circa. £45,000)

Change Recruitment are partnered with a well-known manufacturing business based in West Lothian. The Group have gone from strength to strength over the past 5yrs, and have sites across the UK. With continued growth plans in place for the next 5yrs, there is now a need to strengthen the Finance team based at the West Lothian site, and as such this is a newly created opening.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is an opening that is best suited to a commercially minded, hands-on Accountant, coming from a similar manufacturing environment (ideally), who’ll be able to operate as an effective Finance Business Partner in addition to carrying out the key deliverables highlighted below:

• Preparation of management accounts for multiple sites

• Report & present the results to the Regional Director & Financial Controller

• Preparation and distribution of site management information packs

• Challenge the Site Managers to make efficiency savings at each site

• Produce KPI’s to generate discussion on site performance

• Prepare the annual budget and half yearly reforecast

• Summarise & present management accounts for multiple sites to give an overview to Finance and Non-Finance Managers

• Periodic reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts

• Provide information for the annual audit and assist with all audit queries relating to the Business Unit

• Assist the sites to manage the internal controls, processes and procedures to ensure standard and consistent results

• Implement and deliver improved all round performance, management information and support corporate goals

The need to build and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business will be paramount to the success of the role, and with that comes the need to have strong communication skills that will allow you to nurture those relationships across the business. Similarly, there is a need to have a level of gravitas and strength of character that will enable you to effectively and positively challenge and push back on commercial decisions that are being made across the business.

What has been made clear, is that only candidates who come with a suitable manufacturing / industry background will be considered. The ideal candidate though will come from a manufacturing background, with multi-site experience. From a qualification stand-point, it has been left quite open and we will look at those who are Qualified, QBE, or Part-Qualified.
