Contract Term: 6 Months

As a Finance Business Partner your main responsibilities would be:

The role of the Finance Business Partner will be to effectively lead, manage and resource the finance team, to ensure that a proper set of accounts is kept and an accurate record of all transactions taking place in accordance with proper accounting and statutory requirements, including the production of year end accounts

Role description:

· The post will be a new role to bolster the PPPT Finance Team to meet the growing demand and complexity of support required across the PPPT portfolio. Specifically, this post is being introduced to provide dedicated support to the National Law Enforcement Data Portfolio (NLEDP) at grade 7 level; The NLEDP contains three major programmes that are responsible for the sustainment, change and transformation of key pieces of critical national infrastructure for policing and wider law enforcement. These are the Police National Database (PND), the Police National Computer (PNC), and the Law Enforcement Data Service (LEDS).

· This portfolio will be operating in a highly complex stakeholder environment where the federated nature of policing provides local autonomy that impacts on the adoption of new or replacement systems.

· The job holder will provide Finance support National Law Enforcement Data Portfolio, contributing to business decision-making and financial control within the authorised investment spend. Taking responsibility for the delivery of excellent customer service including commercial support (business case, cost modelling, etc.) and related Budgeting and Reporting.

You’ll have relevant experience in:

· Finance Business Partnering

· Program Finance experience

· Decision making

· Team Management

Essential Requirements

· Ability to demonstrate a strong financial background working as a Finance Business Partner at a portfolio/programme level.

· Experience and ability to demonstrate wide knowledge of public sector finance, including treasury guidance and ideally within the Home Office

· SC/CTC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role; as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks

Desirable Requirements

· Qualified accountant CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA, ACA preferred

· Active SC/CTC Clearance
