We’re currently looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join the Finance Team and help us in the next phase of our journey.

In your new role at Affinity, you’ll have the support of the finance department and wider management team while you find your feet and develop in the position and thereafter. There is a vast amount of experience in the industry throughout all teams across the business and they will support you as you get to grips with your new role.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations relating to Accounts Payable including processing supplier invoices alongside delivery notes, creating supplier payment runs and relevant reports as required
  • Manage all aspects of Bank & Cash including posting bank payments to Sage and bank reconciliations
  • Be responsible for Payroll processing and relationships with external agencies such as HMRC
  • Undertake Pension administration duties
  • Support the Financial Controller in all aspects of the finance function to ensure accurate and prompt preparation of financial reports for the Board of Directors

Essential Skills

  • Experience working as a Finance Assistant
  • Experience using Sage 50 Cloud
  • Strong communication, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Computer skills - ability to assimilate and use computer-based information, especially proficient in MS Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills, including a keen attention to numerical detail

Desired Skills

  • Qualified to AAT level 3 or 4 desirable (not essential, equivalent experience will be considered)
  • Experience in a manufacturing SME desirable
