Job Description

We are looking for a Finalist who is looking to qualify in the next year (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), or part-qualified candidate to join us as a Finance Analyst based near Abingdon.

Sitting in our pivotal finance team, you will report directly to the Performance Director and will need to develop strong relationships right across the business. This is an exciting opportunity to join and help shape a small team with the need to make a positive commercial contribution to both our internal support functions and the wider business performance.

Your core responsibilities will include understanding and investigating current performance levels whilst also identifying areas of improvement through analysis of various data sets. We want our Finance department to be ’best in class’ and therefore the role will also include identifying and implementing potential improvements to current ways of working, producing forecasts, and performing ad-hoc analysis where needed.
  • A key element of the role will be to enhance, develop and review KPIs and dashboard reporting for the overall business.
  • You will leverage and further develop your commercial 3 acumen through providing business leaders with understand
  • ing and insight, whilst ensuring the Finance team’s perspective is represented in any business decisions.
  • Critical to the success of the role will be your ability to build positive working relationships and trust within the business so that you are able to challenge and contribute as a ’business person’ as well as a finance practitioner.
  • Integrating well with the wider existing Finance team through collaboration, sharing best practice and support is an essential part of being successful in this role.
  • Strong communication skills are crucial, along with the ability to get stuck in and ensure all deadlines are met.
The Successful Applicant

The successful Finance Analyst will be :
  • A Finalist or Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), a first time mover from Practice would be ideal
  • Strong attention to detail and an investigative nature
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (eg Pivot Tables, Vlookup, Index and Match)
  • Ability to verify and validate data
  • Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise
  • Self-motivated and ability to project manage
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI (Desirable)
What’s on Offer

The salary on offer is between £40,000 and £50,000 dependent upon experience and level of qualification, plus an extensive benefits package, study support training programme for ACA and hybrid working is on offer.
