Key Responsibilities
  • To install, commission, service and repair a wide range of machinery
  • This is a mobile role and travel will be required on a day-to-day basis.
  • When not travelling the FSE will be required to assist workshop based engineers to meet deadlines on new and rebuilt equipment prior to installation. Plus an element of guarding, repair and fault finding.
  • All work is carried out to meet all EU legislation with respect to CE marking.
  • The Engineer will work closely with both the Sales and Project departments.
Key Requirements & Skills Knowledge, Skills And Experience
  • A qualified electrically biased service engineer minimum of ONC with mechanical experience is desirable.
  • History of control and instrumentation involvement with knowledge, and understanding, on both HMI’s and PLC’s.
  • Experience with Omron, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley and Siemens equipment would be an advantage.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic, the Engineer must be able to work as a team member but be equally proficient working without supervision and to apply initiative as necessary.
  • Good communication skills are essential to deal with customer enquiries relating to both engineering and possible future sales.
  • A full clean UK driving license is essential as is availability to visit customer sites throughout the UK and Ireland with occasional trips to Europe.
