Due to continued growth a great opportunity has arisen for Electro-Mechanical Field Service Engineer to join a long-standing manufacturing company who supply to some of the largest food and retail companies. Job Description: Multi-skilled service and workshop engineer required for supplier of food processing machinery to industry in the UK and Ireland, predominately the meat industry but also covering a little bit of fish and bakery. Workshop duties
  • Working on machinery brought in from customers for repair Preparing new machinery for delivery Repairing used machinery for sale Assisting with the ordering, receipt and despatch of spare parts when required. Dealing with customers and suppliers by phone and email to help resolve issues/identify parts etc. Customer site duties
  • Visiting customer sites to provide repairs in the event of breakdown Planned service visits Installation of new machinery Due to the nature of the industry and our small size, the hours can be somewhat unpredictable.Beneficial Skills / Experience Good electrical and mechanical skills and any further experience in invertor drives, Plc’s, pneumatics, hydraulics, vacuum or refrigeration would be beneficial. Basic IT skills needed for writing up reports etc. Must be able to work on their own, their own initiative, as part of a team and be aware that we are only a small business. Must be able to work in the UK and Ireland and have a driving licence Must also be happy with the environment they’ll be spending time in - meat factories are typically cold and there will be identifiable carcases in some plants, raw meat will need to be handled. Preferably have their own tools, although specialist items will be available to them. Additional Details: Salary - up to £40K DOE Mon

  • 8am
  • 5pm - this is very flexible and would require someone who can be flexible with staying away etc. Overtime
  • 1.5x 20 Days holiday per year plus statutory days Pension uniform, PPE, van, phone, computer, card for expenses
