As our Fibre Residential installs grow we are looking to recruit for a Fibre Install Engineer.

Paying a salary up to £30K, and offering incredible benefits, as a Fibre Residential Installer you will be working with our operations team to install new fibre connections to residential and small business customers on a FTTP network.

This will consist of using both underground and overhead methods and working on the BT PIA network. You will also be responsible for locating and rectifying customer faults.

About MS3 Networks:MS3 is a fibre network operator based in the Kingston-Upon-Hull area with plans to pass over 500,000 homes and businesses with full fibre. As a wholesale-only provider, MS3 will enable its existing and future ISP clients to provide up to 10Gb connections to end-customers, building on their existing fibre ring through Hull and to more than 30 other locations in the region.

A DBS check will be required and conducted by the company.

Location: Field Based

Role & Responsibilities

• Installations for both residential and small business customers
• To fit Industry standard FTTP installations
• Ability to find and correct faults on an XGSPON network
• To perform fibre splicing when required
• To rod & rope if required
• Fault finding and rectification of residential and small business faults
• Ensure a very high standard of customer experience is met
• To be polite and punctual and to represent MS3 to the highest standard

• Good customer facing skills
• Able to produce high standards of work
• Ability to comprehend Job Packs
• Ability to understand and meet requirements of Risk assessments
• Knowledge of XGSPON technologies and architectures
• Understanding of telecoms civils & cabling networks
• Fusion splicing
• Ability to meet critical deadlines
• Working at height from ladders and MEWPs
• Fibre Splicing & Testing
• Splicing external and internal fibre joints
• Rodding and roping
• Cabling in underground environments
• Electronic data capture and transfer of all work completed.
• Working to timescales
• Ability to identify on site risks to personnel and equipment

Essential Qualifications

• Full UK driver’s License preferably clean
• SA001 Safety Overhead including joint user pole Benefits
• SA002 Safety Underground
• S8 PIA Cable instillation Over head
• IPAF

Desired Skills & Experience

• NRSWA
• S7 PIA Cable instillation underground
• Accredited qualifications in fibre installation
• Ability to read and understand GIS designs
