About this role

The Assurance Professional will be responsible for leading on the implementation and running of 2nd line assurance activity for all material controls, across all commercial build programmes and providing all associated reporting each month on coverage and findings.

Working alongside the Quality, Audit & Assurance manager ensuring that all risk control objectives are being met and evidenced effectively with a strong audit trail.

You’ll have the following responsibilities

  • Scheduling Assurance Activities across all funded and commercial programmes.
  • Providing adequate assurance coverage across all controls quarterly.
  • Responsible for making sure that assurance checks, guidelines and reporting are continually monitored, improved and updated to the agreed coverage and to the published schedule.
  • Carrying out Assurance activities on key controls across all funded and commercial programmes
  • Providing email feedback from these activities to key stakeholders
  • Providing assurance reporting across all funded and commercial programmes on a monthly and quarterly basis with findings and recommendations for improvement.
  • Working across teams and being part of a team including Contract Managers, Finance, Delivery and Legal. to re-enforce good governance within Funded and commercial programmes,
  • Being part of a driven team developing a well organised and motivated approach to Governance
  • Engaging and inspiring colleagues to deliver innovative solutions focused on delivering sustainable business benefits

You’ll have the following skills & experience

  • Excellent project/programme management skills.
  • Ability to cut through barriers to bring real clarity and focus to key stakeholders to ensure successful programme delivery for our customers.
  • Good understanding of governance frameworks and ability to use this knowledge to influence key stakeholders within Funded Programmes.
  • Strong analytical skills and brilliant attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate complex information in a simple way when engaging with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Great leadership skills.
  • Strong Assurance knowledge, understanding how this activity fits within a three lines of defence framework
  • Excellent abilities in MS Office
