Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm is an award-winning zoo set in 100 acres of open countryside just outside Bristol. Our Farm Shop opened in 2020 and has become very popular with passing trade, our local community and our zoo visitors. Our Farm Shop sells fresh and frozen meals, homemade cakes and desserts, made with local produce, freshly cooked in the Noah’s Ark Farm kitchen by our team of talented chefs.

Our other products are sourced from local businesses in the South West and small sustainable British businesses. Our Farm Shop is also expanding to sell a wider range of gardening essentials and seasonal goods.

We are currently looking for a Farm Shop Assistant to work every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday on a permanent basis. If you have a flair at providing outstanding customer service, then we want to hear from you.

You must be Barista trained, as you will be making a multitude of hot drinks.

Some of your responsibilities will be (but not limited to):

  • Providing a warm welcome and friendly efficient service to all our customers.
  • Have strong product knowledge and be happy to give any additional information as and when required.
  • Taking customer orders and payments, operating the tills.
  • Serving hot and cold food to our customers.
  • Ensuring the shop displays are always fully stocked and presentable to customers.
  • Tidy and clean tables and customer areas in and around the Farm Shop.
  • To communicate and work closely with the Duty Manager and our Chef’s to ensure food and drink supplies are well managed throughout each day.
  • Follow our Stock Control Policy.
  • Food Hygiene & Allergen Compliance.

About you:

  • Customer Service Experience - Essential.
  • Till trained and cash handling - Essential.
  • Barista trained - Essential.
  • Good team player with a flexible, can-do attitude.
  • Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
  • Driving licence or own transport - Preferred.
  • Willingness to work within the Christian ethos of the zoo.

Hours of work will be 8.30am/8.45am - 5.30pm.
