Job Description
  • Job Title: Farm Lead Assessor
  • Job Type:Permanent
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Job Location:Field Based / Nationwide
  • Travel:70% of the time
  • Remuneration: As Lead Assessor, you’ll receive a competitive salary based on experience level, plus you’ll benefit from a 10% performance bonus, private health cover, a contributory pension scheme, life cover and a company car / allowance
As a Farm Lead Assessor you’ll act as the main point of contact for all auditors on the scheme, ensuring appropriate training is provided and required resources are available to deliver on the scheme requirements. You will plan and conduct assessment/audits/reviews for end customers who are part of the scheme.

Key Accountabilities;
  • Conduct audits (desk-based or on client’s sites) in accordance with established procedures, maintaining a high standard of service delivery that ensures effective customer relationships
  • Complete all chargeable work within the required budget and timeframes to ensure customer satisfaction and efficiency of the business
  • Ensure completion of all assigned work and relevant documentation in accordance with required procedures and standards to fulfil customer expectations
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting as required by line management to assist the planning and management of operations and to meet client requirements
  • Manage personal schedule to work efficiently and to meet target chargeability requirements as defined by your line manager.
  • Carry out internal audits of individual auditors, functions or offices to ensure internal compliance with relevant standards

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you’ll need a solid Agricultural backgroundand experience in milk production, dairy cow management and cattle Farming and have strong knowledge of applicable practices (e.g. Animal Welfare & Health, Hygiene, Milk Quality etc)

In addition to the above you’ll also need to demonstrate the following;
  • Experience in engaging and working with Farmers
  • Experience as a team leader and managing projects
  • Able to motivate and lead others in a ‘project team’ environment
  • Hold a full driving license and be able to conduct audits throughout the country
  • Understanding of the applicable laws as they apply to the scheme (Agricultural sector, specifically dairy and cattle)
  • Post secondary education in agriculture
The following attributes would be desirable, but not essential;
  • Lead Auditor/assessor qualification or equivalent
  • Project management qualification or equivalent
