We are a family smallholding looking to take on a farmhand on a temporary basis, though more hours and a longer-term may be available at the end of the period if the candidate is suitable. We primarily work with sheep and chickens, but a lot of our property is also being developed for conservation and a more natural and biodiverse environment.

Duties:

  • Primarily assisting with maintenance, fencing, repairs, etc.
  • Assisting with herding and transport of sheep
  • Assisting with care/veterinary work by herding or holding animals

Requirements:

  • No experience necessary
  • Ideal candidate will have a practical attitude and enjoy working in the outdoors
  • Must be able to commute to site just outside Llanelli, but transport can be provided to local candidates (within 10-20 minutes of Trimsaran)
  • Hours are flexible so long as candidate is available at least the minimum each week

Contract length: 3 months

Part-time hours: 3-6 per week

Salary: £10.00 per hour
