Our Client in Honiton are looking for an experienced Farm Assistant.

The successful candidate will assist in the day to day management of the farm/s. Whilst working alongside the Farm manager.

Weekend work on a rota basis is required and you must have a full driving licence to drive between the sites. Previous experience of broiler production is desirable but NOT essential.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:-

· Ensuring excellent welfare of livestock.

· Maintaining safe working practices.

· Assisting with weekly weighing at the three farms.

· Assisting with the organisation and overseeing of contract catchers and cleaners.

· Assisting with the set up and chick fills.

· Assisting with feed management/ordering.

· Assisting with vaccinations of birds as and when required.

· Holiday cover with assistance for Farm Manager/s and other team members.

· Motivation, enthusiasm and commitment to success along with good communication skills.

· Planning and organisational skills.

· Computer, numeracy and literacy skills.
