A leading Legal 500 firm are searching for a Senior Associate to join their highly regarded family team in the Thames Valley. The firm are reputable and renowned as a top choice for businesses and individuals alike. They are accredited with numerous awards (Law Firm of the Year finalists, highly ranked in the Chambers directory, highly commended at the West London Business Awards, etc), and the family team are particularly highly accredited. They have a number of office spread across the South East, containing Resolution/Legal 500 ranked lawyers (the family team leader is particularly highly regarded in the Legal 500). The firm are tier 1 for family across the South East, proving that working with this firm is an excellent career move. The firm are forward thinking and modern. The offices are technically equipped to give you an easy working experience, as well as the ability to seamlessly work from home (you will only be expected in the office once or twice per week). You will join the firm as a senior member of the family team. The role will see working on a variety of private family matters (all aspects of divorce, financial remedy, private children’s issues, cohabitee disputes and pre-and post-nuptial agreements) but, if you have a specialism you would like to develop, the firm are also open to this. As a senior team member, you will also be expected to aid in the business development/marketing of the department, along with the training of juniors. To be successful in your application, you will:
  • Be a qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive with extensive experience in private family law.
  • Have an interest in business development.
  • Have sound technical knowledge of family law.
  • Be equipped to deal with sensitive issues and vulnerable clients with empathy.
  • Be a team player and prepared to gel with the close-knit team.
