Are you looking for a new opportunity? We are recruiting for a Facilities Technician to join us in a varied role as part of our Facilities Management team.
We offer on-going inhouse training, as well as external training where you can achieve entry level qualifications in practical disciplines such as carpentry and plumbing. This is an ideal role for those starting out in Facilities Management or those looking to change careers.
The successful applicant will support the daily operation of a large office building and other local sites within the borough. Duties will include providing service and support to visitors and employees on site, health and safety monitoring, minor repair work and general handyman duties.
This role is within a team of five and will be working on a rotational basis Monday to Friday covering four shifts; 6:30-14:30, 9:00 -17:00; 10:00-18:00; 14:00 – 22:00. On occasion there will be need to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the service.
Additional benefits for this post include 22 days annual leave (increasing to 27 days after 5 years Local Government service), membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme as well as invaluable training opportunities for continuing professional development. An additional payment for participation in out of hours standby is also available once suitably experienced in the role.
