We are currently recruiting to a Facilities Service Assistant position, this role includes the following duties: cleaning, portering and catering.The vacancy is within the Facilities Team based at your local community Hospital – Burnham on SeaBurnham Hospital has a Minor Injuries Unit, Outpatient Department and Physiotherapy Department and ward.We have 2 vacancies available, 15 hours and 18 hours per week to be worked over a 7 day period to suit the needs of the service. The service runs between the hours of 07:30 and 19:00hrs and the pattern will reflect this.A flexible working pattern is in place covering evenings and weekends.Please note you may be asked to cover another site on occasion.For an informal conversation or to arrange a site visit contact –Allison StoneFacilities Team LeaderTel: 01278 773105email: allison.stone@somersetft.nhs.ukPlease note previous applicants need not reapply and will not be shortlisted- unless a prior agreement has been made with the Facilities Team Leader.The main duties of the role will include the following:CleaningCleaning departments within the Hospital such as inpatients, outpatients, toilets, meeting rooms & offices.PorteringRemoval of waste, movement of supplies, acceptance of deliveries, ordering of laundry.CateringPrepare patient meals using a cook freeze service.
