We have an exciting opportunity for a positive, professional and proactive Facilities Manager to join the team based at our largest manufacturing site in the UK in Scarborough. You will lead the facilities function in line with the Group Facilities strategy and ADL policies.

Your dream role:

  • We need a Facilities Manager to lead and develop the local facilities management team whilst aligning with the wider group facilities function and other functional strategies, e.g., ESG.
  • This is a Full Time, Permanent role based from our site in Scarborough.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring facilities service providers are following good practice; delivering a value for money/quality service and are working to safe working procedures.
  • Assessing risks and leading the site business continuity planning will be an important part of your role.
  • You will drive hard and soft service contract procurement and service delivery.
  • Ensure appropriate maintenance strategies are selected and implemented to meet business and legal requirements.
  • Own the H&S compliance for all elements of the facilities function.
  • Master budget planning, monitoring and control for sites within your remit.
  • Implementation of continuous improvement throughout areas of responsibility e.g., Energy management whilst ensuring all areas remain ISO compliant.
  • Successful implementation of significant infrastructure projects and their on-time delivery.
  • Ensure site environmental compliance and reporting whilst managing and assessing the environmental impact of sites in accordance with ADL policy.
  • Be an active member of the site SMT working collaboratively to deliver core business objectives.
  • Implement and sustain a CAFM/CMMS system.

What you will bring:

  • High level of demonstrated FM work experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of hard and soft service delivery and property/asset maintenance strategies.
  • Prior management experience and the ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of quality and customer service measurement procedures and techniques
  • Ability to work well under continual time deadlines and financial goals.
  • Experience of creating and delivering FM revenue and capital budgets.
  • Ability to interpret complex accounting, analysis, budgeting and business information.
  • Present a positive and professional image of ADL in all contacts and relationships.
  • Proficient in various MS Office programs.
  • Familiar with continuous improvement techniques and programs.
  • Hold the ability to regularly contact, influence and negotiate with both internal and external individuals on complex issues.
  • Must be able to respond to enquiries and complaints with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong performance management skills by setting clear goals and objectives and measuring performance and delivering results.
  • Strong communication skills demonstrated by presenting information effectively and persuasively across communication settings.
  • The successful candidate will hold the flexibility to be on call out of hours for any site call outs that may arise, such as fire alarm activation.
