This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has worked in facilities, property, maintenance, or construction as a supervisor and is looking to take a step back or supplement their income with some part-time work. The role will be managing the Facilities and services of a number of residential properties in the Wetherby and Weeton / Huby area and a couple in Lytham St Annes for the owners. This isn’t a hands-on role, but it will need a level of understanding of the services and the ability to organize. These duties should only take two days per week, so the candidate could either do this or, for the remainder of the week, support the facilities manager for the owner’s commercial property business based in Batley.

The roles and responsibilities of the Facilities Assistant

Manage the services of 5 properties in the Wetherby and Weeton/Huby area and 2 properties in Lytham St Annes.

Organize the service and maintenance of the Security System (Secom).

Maintenance of the boundary fences and gates. Installation and repair or replacement where necessary.

Maintenance and Repair of Electric Gates, including an annual service.

Service the automated garage door, including an annual service.

Organise the emptying of the septic tank, annual.

Organise regular gardeners to keep the gardens and roadways tidy.

Manage the trees and hedges including ones in the field.

Maintenance and service of the boilers, annual

Gas Safety Check – annual

Chimney Sweep certificate, annual.

Service and MOT cars.

Service plant equipment and gardening equipment.

Carry out meter readings and submit to the energy provider.

Organise the installation of Smart Meters to the existing meters.

Interior decorations (as required)

Clean out the gutters (twice a year)

Cleaning of the windows (monthly)

Electrical Test Certificate.

Ensure there is enough gravel on the driveway.

The emptying of the septic tank

Interior decorations (as required).

Carry out meter readings and submit to the energy provider.

Meet contractors on site to allow access for quotes and works.

The ideal Facilities Assistant will:

Have previous Property, Maintenance, Facilities, and construction background.

Have the ability to manage multiple tasks at different locations

Be local and have a full driving licence

Have an excellent friendly personality

Be either looking for two/three days a week or full-time.

Be willing to drive to the Wetherby area and Lytham St Annes where necessary
