Located in stunning rural Northumberland, but only 30 miles from the vibrant city of Newcastle, working at Cragside allows you to enjoy the best of both worlds. With less congested travel than many parts of the UK and beautiful surroundings, the quality of life in Northumberland is great.

The high performing team you will be joining is experienced in a broad range of disciplines. Everyone works closely together to look after Cragside for our visitors – both present and future – to enjoy. We know that the building block of a great visitor experience are well maintained facilities.

Flexible and able to work at pace, you’ll turn your practical hand to all sorts of cleaning and minor maintenance ensuring all our facilities are kept in good working order. You’ll also be asked to help with some manual work such as unloading deliveries.

Duties such as cleaning, sweeping and litter picking will form a core part of the role, both inside and outdoors. You’ll ensure the highest standards of customer service across the area by always implementing a ‘customer comes first’ attitude. General maintenance work and helping within other teams will also form part of your role. You will need a full UK driving license to drive an estate vehicle to and from buildings in different locations on the 1,000 acre estate.

Who we’re looking forYou’ll be:
  • Self-motivated, with an eye for detail and high standards of cleanliness/hygiene
  • Customer focused with a friendly, positive attitude
  • Flexible and enthusiastic, with a willingness to learn
  • A team player, but also can work on your own initiative
