Experienced Cover Supervisor

Location: Driffield, East Riding Yorkshire

Start Date: Immediately

Salary: £80 - £100 per day

GSL Education is an independent and ethical recruitment agency serving schools in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.

GSL Education is looking to hire a number of Experienced Cover Supervisor to work with their client secondary schools in Driffield, and surrounding areas immediately.

Experienced Cover Supervisor - Responsibilities

  • In the event of a teacher absence, supervise all classes across the curriculum.
  • Ensure that students are engaged in pre-planned activities.
  • Manage student behaviour to create a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Work with colleagues to plan projects and ensure adequate resources are available.
  • Provide feedback to the teacher regarding student attendance, engagement, and task completion.

To be a successful andExperienced Cover Supervisoryou should:

  • Have an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher, or be a graduate pursuing a career in education.
  • Understand safeguarding and child protection policies (training is available).
  • Show a willingness to pursue additional training and courses to enhance your professional development.
  • Demonstrate empathy for youth and effective communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Have an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or a willingness to apply for one.
