The Role

Wessex Internet have an excellent opportunity for a well organised and professional Executive Assistant (EA) to support our Chief Finance Officer (CFO). The Executive Assistant will provide one on one support for the CFO in all business matters. This will include all diary management, liaising with the wider business to resolve queries and supporting them in both key task as well as project management. Your meticulous attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities will ensure you offer the ultimate support.

The successful candidate will have very strong organisation skills, proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with senior leaders. Your role will be to ensure that the CFO’s day to day working life runs as smoothly as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the diary for the CFO, including arranging meetings, anticipating requirements, and preparing, checking and circulating materials in advance if necessary
  • Manage the inbox, and mail on behalf of the CFO, using judgement to prioritise, redirect or take proactive action to escalate matters that require attention
  • Be the first point of contact for enquiries on behalf of the CFO, screening calls and responding to queries directly
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with the CFO’s key contacts, along with senior leaders and their teams across the organisation
  • Produce professional documentation, create presentations and prepare reports and minutes to the required deadlines in support of the CFO’s office
  • Compiling and distributing agendas, pre-read papers, ensuring all participants have suitable notice to submit items as required
  • Attend meetings taking minutes, summarising key points and actions and following through on the ownership of those
  • Collation and distribution of monthly board packs

Requirements

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Experience working in commercially sensitive environments, exercising discretion and dealing with confidential information
  • Strong people and influencing skills with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the organisation
  • An expert working knowledge of the Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Previous experience in a senior PA/EA role
  • Have excellent planning and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in work
  • Able to predict needs, prioritise and exercise judgement and discretion, suggesting appropriate options when obstacles appear, and acting autonomously
  • Are able to gather information from a variety of sources, both internally and externally and process and evaluate data accordingly with little guidance
