We have an opportunity for an Events Co-ordinator to join our Commercial team in Knutsford.The Mere Golf Resort & Spa is a destination for business and pleasure, with an 81 bedroomed hotel, expansive wedding and event spaces, Championship golf and an award-winning spa, set in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Our luxury conference and event suites cater for up to 550 guests. You will thrive in a fast paced environment, be personable and a work well both autonomously and as part of a team. Reporting to the Commercial Office Manager you will have a key role in providing efficient, effective and professional service to both existing and potential customers. TheEvents Co-ordinator duties and key responsibilities include:
  • Responding to all enquiries in a timely, confident and professional manner, displaying a clear and comprehensive knowledge of the hotel, its facilities and details, taking every opportunity to upsell.
  • Recording full and accurate details of guest requirements and bookings as per Company and hotel procedures.
  • Converting all provisional and tentative bookings on Opera within a 2 month lead window.
  • Making clients aware of the full terms of business, including the cancellation policy and the need to confirm bookings prior to arrival.
  • Ensuring all signed correspondence is received and recorded accordingly
  • Conducting client ‘show rounds’ professionally, taking every opportunity to upsell.
  • Booking third party services in accordance with Company and hotel procedures.
  • Having knowledge of, and operating, the hotels cash handling and security procedures.
  • Carrying out after event sales calls within 3 days of event, providing all feedback and repeat business conversion as a weekly report.
  • Dealing with complaints/issues politely and swiftly in conjunction with your line manager as necessary
  • Promoting weddings for the Hotel, maximising revenue through following standard sales practices.
Preferred Skills And Experience
