MEMBERSHIP BESPOKEEvent ManagerUK Membership Body2 Days Farnborough, 3 Days Home with travel to events some overnight staysBasic Salary £37,000 With BenefitsPermanent, Full TimeOur client a well-respected and reputable UK membership body is currently looking for an Event ManagerThe Role of Event ManagerThe Event Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing various events, ensuring their successful implementation from start to finish. This role requires excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The Event Manager works with the Head of Retailer Engagement, Events Assistant, members of the Commercial Team and wider membership body Team.Key Responsibilities:Event Planning: Work with the team to understand the requirements for the event and the outcomes.Coordinate logistics, including venues, catering, AV, and accommodation.Create and maintain event budgets. Monitor expenses and revenue to ensure events remain within budget. Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to optimize costs.Vendor Management: Identify, negotiate with vendors and suppliers, ensuring they deliver services according to contract terms and meet quality standards.Event Marketing and Promotion: Work with the Comms team to develop event marketing and promotional materials.Coordinate with the Commercial team to maximize event attendance.On-Site Event Management: Oversee all aspects of event execution, including set-up, registration, attendee management, AV, and logistics coordination.Post-Event Evaluation. Gather feedback from attendees, and internal teams to make recommendations for future events.Qualifications and Skills:Proven experience in event planning and managementStrong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, vendors, and team members.Budgeting and financial management knowledgeAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft packagesFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required by events.Car driver.To apply to this role please send your CVDue to the volume of applications we are only able to contact successful applicants.
