Events Coordinator

Please note, this is an in-office role.

Hi, we’re GivEnergy – and we’re thrilled to find you here????

You find us in the throes of a period of hypergrowth, having grown 500% last year, and no signs of slowing down.

Whilst the majority of our growth has been organic, we can attribute a huge amount of this to our presence in various industry events, where we have consistently showcased our industry-leading wares. We didn’t become UK market leaders by chance.

The growth of the Company and our ever-expanding distribution and wholesale list means we’re attending more and more events to showcase our brand. As such, we’re looking for someone keen to join our incredible Marketing department and coordinate our upcoming events (ranging in breadth from global trade shows to internal events).

Who Are We?

GivEnergy is a manufacturer of electronic equipment designed to manage energy use and production. We’re united in our mission of empowering energy freedom for all. We specialise in our range of inverters and battery systems which allow our users to store their renewable/cheap-rate energy, ease pressure on the grid and save some serious money. Last year we diversified into the smart plug arena (providing our end-users with real-time data and autonomy of energy usage) and we have plans to roll-out our very own electric vehicle charger and have seen unprecedented success with our recently introduced all-in-one system. On top of all this, GivEnergy Europe was formed at the end of 2022, and we’re excited to continue our success across the pond.

GivEnergy is one of the UK’s largest domestic and commercial battery manufacturers. The industry is booming and there couldn’t be a better time join the renewable industry.

What you’ll be doing:

No two days will look the same in this role, but generally, you can expect a mix of the below accountabilities:

  • Plan, promote, and deliver all company events on the calendar, including internal and external events
  • Liaise with relevant members of the team to ensure the right collateral – merchandise, marketing materials, stand design, etc – is sourced in time for the event
  • Oversee each part of the event to ensure it runs smoothly including set up
  • Schedule staff and other crews for the day(s) of the event, attending in person as pertinent
  • Liaise with the accounts department to process all invoices
  • Work with the marketing team to implement promotional and follow up communication plans for every event
  • Build a working relationship with suppliers and venues, including contracts negotiations
  • Provide administrative support surrounding events, such as booking transportation and accommodation
  • Research and suggest events in line with target audiences

What we’re looking for:

We know that one of the things that makes our people so successful and work together so brilliantly is their differences. As such, we don’t want you to consider this an exhaustive list – if it’s a yes to all the below, great! If it’s most – we still want to hear from you:

  • Event coordination experience (>1 year)
  • Exceptional organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • A positive team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
  • Great prioritising skills, able to work to tight deadlines
  • A strong administrator who can take on both large-scale and small-scale events
  • A confident communicator, able to represent the company as both an organiser and a delegate
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, based on the events calendar, with time given back in lieu for such instances
  • Willing to travel for any international trade shows we may have in the calendar
  • UK driving licence
