At Scotframe we are looking for a customer focused individual to join us as an Estimator in Cumbernauld. We are open to both an experienced estimator or someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn, to join us as a trainee. Scotframe is one of 30 Saint-Gobain brand’s, Scotframe manufactures and supplies full timber frame housing kits for small/medium builders, developers and self-builders in the UK and is a market leader in closed panel systems used extensively for new build homes in Scotland and England. The working hours on this role are 08:30-17:00 Monday to Friday and 08:30-16:00 on a Friday

What you will be doing: Our sites are busy places, with lots going on inside and out, and whilst the exact duties may vary here is a taster of the role. Produce competitive quotations at given margins to sustain & grow the business Work efficiently and accurately Manage pipeline opportunities and approach each project in agreement with the sales team to ensure that they are prioritized, workload is managed and timescale SLA’s are achieved Attend pre and post contract meetings as required Attend self-build and trade shows to represent the company Provide cover for customer sales enquiries when sales team are not available Maintain weekly record of workload and achievements What we are looking for: Experience of a fast-moving estimating department Experience in timber frame construction and building industry is beneficial Ability to identify and implement performance goals, priorities Able to manage workload and work to tight deadlines Able to work on own or as part of a team Experience of using Microsoft Excel & Word or estimating software Strong commercial awareness ideally in the timber frame industry Able to simplify technical languageIf you are to join us as a trainee the above is not essential and we will put you through a full training programme to bring you to an estimator level.
