About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Estate Services team in the role of Estate Operative. The team deliver a one stop shop estate management service across the City and have a big impact on the appearance of our estates. In this key role, you will be responsible for the general maintenance of grounds, highways, landscaped areas, void and tenanted properties and similar open spaces using mechanical equipment and materials. Duties will include Grass cutting, hedge trimming, pruning, weed treatment, planting, strimming, clearing leaves and litter picking in line with technical/quality standards and health & safety legislation.

What We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will have experience of working in grounds maintenance and be able to effectively work in external climatic environments. They will have knowledge and understanding on relevant health & safety legislation, including COSHH and carrying out risk assessments. They will have excellent customer service skills and be an effective communicator who works well within a team, as well as being able to work independently using their own initiative. They will have a wiliness to develop experience in all aspects of the role and complete relevant training and qualifications as required. This role commands a flexible approach to work in order to meet the demands of the business.

Candidates will require a full UK driving licence.
