We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer. You’ll work with us on the development of Azure cloud-based services through data analytics, visualisation and strategies that will make essential benefits and support most accessible to our most vulnerable users.

As a Senior Data Engineer you’ll be at the centre of DWP’s data solutions development. You’ll use robust data strategies, approaches, visualisation and analytics, creating data-driven innovations that will positively impact our most vulnerable citizens, helping to make our services more accessible, available and efficient.

You’ll be working on development of new azure products within a newly formed team; your experience with cloud-based technologies will be help us deliver better and faster. This will also give you a real opportunity to shape and steer the project within a high-project project on the leading edge of service development.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

  • Leading the design and development of complex data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of API development and cloud technologies.
  • Deep understanding of the technical concepts required in their role and understands how these fit into the wider technical landscape.
  • Able to think outside the box, ask the right questions and critically evaluate and communicate findings to a larger team.
  • Using information and experience to make tactical and strategic recommendations.
