A friendly Secondary school in Blandford Forum are looking for an engaging English Teacher to join them on a permanent, full time basis from January 2023.The school is an oversubscribed mixed school that support pupils aged 11-19. Pupils are renowned for enjoying their English lessons and staff are hardworking, engaging and committed. The successful candidate will join a well-established department who aim to be outstanding role models of English to their pupils.Although you will be initially paid through Teaching Personnel, there is scope for a permanent contract to be offered to the most suitable Teacher of English, after a qualifying period.
  • Full-time English teaching position
  • Suitable opportunity for an experienced or ECT
  • Timetable of KS3 and KS4 English classes with full departmental responsibilities
  • Start date: January 3rd 2023
  • Monday - Friday
Requirements For This Role
  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent within the UK to be considered
  • Behaviour and classroom management skills
  • Relevant English degree
  • Extensive and up to date subject knowledge
  • Will be required to apply for a Child Workforce DBS, if you do not already have one on the update service
