Role Description

Work as England Women Senior Team Goalkeeping Coach, delivering world class goalkeeping sessions on and off the pitch. Lead the development and delivery of the senior women’s set play strategy and embed across women’s national teams as part of England Women’s Blueprint for Success.
Key Accountabilities
  • Work as the England Women’s Senior Goalkeeping Coach
  • Prepare for and attend all planning and review meetings for camps
  • Provide key input into talent management structures to effectively manage the goalkeepers including weekly player reports
  • Develop outstanding club relationships to build and create effective individual player development plans (IDP)
  • Overall leadership and development of the women’s set play strategy for national teams
  • Performance of the individual goalkeepers according to parameters and milestones identified in the England Women’s’ Blueprint for Success
  • Work closely with the Women’s Goalkeeping Pathway Lead to support the identification, information transfer and development journey of gold standard goalkeepers
  • Collaborate with the Women’s HWP Technical Lead to ensure connectivity of goalkeeping delivery across all national teams, and the HWP strategy
  • Contribute to the creation of an outstanding performance, learning and development environment for players and staff including establishing a strong team identity
  • Assist in the development of WITTW and England Women’s Blueprint for Success through research projects, analysis and benchmarking of other nations
  • Consistently demonstrate and role model England Coaching Attributes
  • Contribute to the delivering of FA Goalkeeping Qualifications
  • As required collaborate with FA media and communications staff to ensure consistent appropriate management of external communications, and social media
  • Execute additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities

    Experience
    • High level people development skills and experience
    • Consistent, successful experience of management and development of elite players and multi-disciplinary staff
    • Ability to demonstrate inspirational leadership on and off the pitch using a variety of methods and approaches
    • Significant experience of working with senior GKs with a track record of high performance
    • Demonstrate understanding of international football
    • Experience of working in high performing environments
    • Deep knowledge of technical and tactical components of the game including strategies and tactics
    • Ability to create and implement a Player Development Plan
    • Growth mind-set and strong evidence of continued professional development
    • Explicit knowledge and understanding of the England DNA
    Technical Skills
    • Extensive experience of Excel
    • Ability to effectively manage budgets
    • Advanced Microsoft Office
    • Ability to create presentations and present to a wide range of key stakeholders
    Desirable

    Knowledge
    • UEFA Pro Licence
    Experience
    • Experience of coaching women
    • Experience working in the WSL and or Championship
    • Understanding of the demands of international football
