This Engineering Team Leader position offers a basic salary of circa £52,000, company pension matched to 10% and generous holiday allowance, plus a quarterly performance bonus, and overtime taking OTE to upwards of £60k plus per annum.

Based in the area of Aldridge, the shift pattern and hours of work are 4 on 4 off, over both days and nights.

Duties of Engineering Team Leader

  • People Management of a team of engineers, motivation, and structured development of the team through performance review to ensure delivery of objectives through team working.
  • Provision of engineering and technical expertise to facilitate the rigorous application of IMS tools and techniques to generate Continuous Improvement across all areas of the manufacturing capability including PLC systems, control systems, automation systems
  • Implementation of and adherence to all Company and Factory control procedures to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements in Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental.
  • The collection, assimilation and analysis of engineering, production and process data and its effective use to develop and achieve key targets and objectives.
  • The development of systems and standards to deliver world-class standards of Housekeeping within the engineering environment using the 5S principles.
  • The use of a computerised maintenance system to facilitate planned preventative maintenance and effective engineering stock control.

Experience and Qualifications Required for Engineering Team Leader

  • Engineering qualified; City & Guilds, ONC, BTEC Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance
  • Strong Health and Safety awareness
  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Team Leader, Maintenance Supervisor, Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Planner, Lead Engineer etc
  • Previous experience of undertaking maintenance within a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience of the development and application of PPM activities
