CRE Civils - CP6 (Rail) – London

Murphy group are keen to hear from confident candidates in this space regarding opportunities on the CP6 Anglia Renewals portfolio. The CRE Civils role will play a pivotal part in the successful development and implementation of the portfolio or works. During the development stage your particular focus will be on influencing design organisations to develop designs that can be built efficiently and safely. You will oversee the engineering and construction teams, ensuring the works are built right first time..

What you will be doing

  • Regular liaison with designer’s to ensure design are efficient and safe to build
  • Input into the ‘development plan’ to document the planned construction methodologies
  • Approval of detailed construction methodologies produced by the project teams e.g. WPP / TBS / RA’s
  • Approval of inspection and test plans produced by the project teams
  • Review submissions for quality and sufficiency
  • Assist team members CEM / QS / PM as required with engineering input
  • Attend site as required to liaise with Site Managers and Engineers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and assertive when required to ensure timeous delivery


Who we are looking for

  • Ancillary civils expeience, can act as a Project Engineer "PE" for NR.
  • Sound geotechnical knowledge, particularly in with the practicalities of construction methods
  • Previous CRE Construction approved
  • Experience managing design development
  • Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other design based software such as AutoCad
  • Civil Engineer with membership of professional institute (ICE/IStructE)
