Job Introduction We are looking for:
The Pharmaron Liverpool Team is looking to expand and recruit an Engineering Manager to lead the day to day management of the maintenance team and be responsible for all equipment, plant and facility maintenance. And work closely with Health and Safety Management to ensure European and Corporate compliance. At Pharmaron we offer:

Requirements:Essential:
  • Engineering Qualifications (higher national certificate)
  • 5-7 years management experience
  • Time served as an engineer working in mechanical or electrical/E&I
  • GMP and clean room facilities HVAC and working with MHRA/FDA guidelines.
  • working within a fast-paced Business Support team
  • cGMP experience and CMMS experience.
Desirable:
  • Professional Engineering qualification (degree level)
  • Project management experience
Key roles and responsibilities:
  • Daily oversight and administration of the site CMMS & maintenance plan with the engineering planner.
  • Ownership of the Engineering maintenance history making sure records are audit ready and to a high GMP standard. Oversight of Engineering QMS to track closure on time in line with site/corporate procedures.
  • Oversight and support of Engineering shutdowns with the Engineering planner and senior Electrical AP to make sure work is executed within the required timelines and delivered back to manufacturing on plan.
  • Be an instrumental part in agreeing departmental objectives that align with site goals, Capex requirements and continuous improvement with the Senior electrical AP and head of Engineering.
  • Working closely with the Engineering planner to allow a considered approach to time allocation of maintenance Engineers and other maintenance staff.
  • Work with Engineering planner to make sure H&S actions and improvements are tracked and closed within agreed timelines.
  • Be an active member of the H&S committee, attending monthly updates and presenting departmental metrics to the site group.
  • Oversight and execution of CMMS updates and amendments requested by systems users to maintain timelines for manufacturing and R+D processes.
  • Work closely with the Quality departments to make sure Engineering adhere to GMP standards assist Head of engineering in making sure the maintenance function evolves and stays abreast of engineering best practices.
  • Represent Engineering in the site sustainability team to assist EHS in continuing to drive down energy use and offer new solutions to help meet sustainability targets
