Petrofac is looking to recruit an Engineering Manager to join our Petrofac Facilities Management Limited on a permanent based in Aberdeen, UK.

Main Purpose Of The Role
  • Engineering Management of multidiscipline teams supporting contract delivery across EPS west
  • Assurance of technical integrity in engineering output
Key Accountabilities
  • Engineering management and leadership to multidiscipline teams across EPS West
  • Ensure Petrofac standards, processes and procedures applied in engineering delivery
  • Ensure the engineering and design functions within contracts the engineering delivery manager supports are resourced to deliver workload with proven and competent personnel
  • Support contract managers and project engineers in providing value and technically robust solutions to our clients by reviewing and challenging estimates; assessing scopes to assure the best solution is provided; resolve engineering questions from clients; resolve interdisciplinary conflicts and issues
  • Positively collaborate with colleagues across all service lines and functions to ensure maximum pull through from customers is achieved and developed
  • Ensure that the Approved HSE Policy for engineering work is being adhered to and implemented by the staff and Subcontractors.
  • Responsible for ensuring effective engineering interface across satellite offices
  • Maintain an awareness of relevant current technology, changes to UK and International Standards and Codes of Practice and changes to UK legislation as it affects offshore and onshore work. Ensure engineers are made aware of these new developments
  • Support the Corporate Engineering Manager in resourcing; external and internal audits; process and procedure reviews; input to tenders and proposals

Skills & Experience
  • Degree in relevant engineering discipline
  • Proven track record of delivery in similar roles and a grounding in engineering work within engineering contractors
  • Proven leadership qualities in an engineering environment
  • Ability to identify and develop talent within the engineering organisation
  • Multidiscipline understanding and knowledge
