Energy & Mobility Deal Strategy - Assistant Manager

Led by Wafa Jafri and Eddie Ataii, our team includes experienced industry professionals, bankers, strategists, and engineers, to ensure an exemplary output for our clients.


We are offering a unique opportunity to gain experience of the energy and mobility sector in a multi-functional team working across a range of policy, strategic, commercial, and transactional mandates. In addition to this, you will aspire to become an energy and mobility sector expert who can support other KPMG functions such as M&A, TS, Restructuring and Valuations, so the ability to be collaborative is key.


The successful candidate will work be expected to work on a board range of engagements across the energy and mobility sector, driving the Deal Advisory practice forward through high quality deliverables.


We require someone who naturally takes on responsibility and accountability for key deliverables within projects. You will be enthusiastic about the energy transition and decarbonisation, curious, coachable, and comfortable presenting to senior leaders and clients.

The ideal candidate has over three years of work experience (preferably in consulting), is able to provide direction for our Analysts, whilst at the same time demonstrating the mentality to challenge senior members of the team when appropriate to do so.


Responsibilities


Managing and delivering on Energy and Mobility Deal Strategy engagements:

  • Support on the delivery of multiple small to medium size projects or work streams simultaneously.
  • Researching market intelligence and sector knowledge.
  • Supporting on proposals for new business opportunities in the Energy sector.
  • Ownership of analysis and slides for multiple propositions and client engagements.
  • Present analysis at client meetings.
  • Manage Analysts in the team.
  • Collect and monitor costs on projects as well as conducting risk procedures.
  • Attend client meetings to support senior members of the team with presentations, actions, and meeting notes.


The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following:

  • Passion for the energy and mobility sector.
  • Proactive, inquisitive, energetic and a desire to learn.
  • demonstrable ability to deliver high quality work.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with an ability to contribute toward high-quality presentations and analysis.
  • Strong quantitative and Excel skills.
