We are working with a reputable UK leading regional law firm, known for its excellence in providing legal services. They have established themselves as one of the leading firms in the region. The team consists of experienced professionals, many of whom have joined from City law firms, bringing their expertise and knowledge to their organisation. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and Employment lawyer to join. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with one of the largest specialist finance teams outside of London. The team is renowned and has achieved top rankings in Chambers UK. The Role Our client is seeking a qualified and talented employment solicitor to join their top-ranked employment, pensions, and immigration team. The position is open to both Associates and Senior Associates with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE. The ideal candidate would have 4-7 years’ PQE, although exceptional candidates with more or less PQE will also be considered. The role involves handling a full range of employment work, including contentious and non-contentious matters. The successful candidate should have strong drafting, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, as well as a proven track record in employment law. Business development skills and enthusiasm for generating new business opportunities are highly desirable. The position is based in Guildford, and while it is advertised as a full-time role, part-time arrangements can be considered. You To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience: Experience advising employers on a range of contentious and non-contentious employment law and HR issues. Experience providing employment support in connection with corporate transactions and M&A. Experience advising directors, senior executives, and individuals on employment issues, particularly terminations and settlement agreements. Excellent technical ability, drafting skills, and attention to detail. Business development skills and a drive to generate new opportunities. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate concisely and confidently. Highly motivated, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Capable of managing a varied workload and delivering high-quality client service. Commercial awareness and strong academic background. Desirable experience includes advising on TUPE issues and drafting TUPE provisions, employment agencies and agency worker matters, business immigration, regulatory issues in the Financial Services sector, or pensions.
