About The Role

Salary: £35,500 - £40,000 per annum
Location: Chelmsford / working from home. Some travel expected across Essex and future areas depending upon business opportunity success
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Permanent

Are you an experienced Employee Relations Advisor with experience of delivering ahigh quality, comprehensive Employee Relations advisory service across the business?

ECL are currently recruiting for an Employee Relations Advisor to work closely with managers to ensure employee relations casework, such as disciplinary and capability issues, and transformational change programmes are managed and implemented effectively. As a custodian of ECL’s culture and values, this role will take a proactive role in positively influencing good staff management practices throughout ECL

About You

To be considered as Employee Relations Advisor, you need:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a relevant or equivalent role.
  • Knowledge and understanding of employment law and HR best practice.
  • Understanding of Change Management, Disciplinary, Grievance, Performance & Absence Management and proactive HR activities to support the business.
  • Understanding best practice in developing and applying HR policies, procedures and processes.
  • Experience of working in a unionised environment and understand TUPE legislation with practical experience of managing TUPE transfers both into and out of an organisation.
  • Experience of building effective relationships with managers, stakeholders and partners.
  • Experience of negotiating, facilitating and influencing to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Ability to be highly organised and remain calm in a crisis, tactful, determined, quick-thinking, but methodical and consistent
  • Ability to work under pressure and excellent problem-solving and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively alone and as a member of a team.
  • Member of CIPD or equivalent qualification (desirable).
  • UK Driving Licence, access to and correct insurance of a vehicle for work purposes
