We’re a fast-moving technology business undergoing rapid growth and are one of the leading providers of employee benefits solutions to employers. To help us on our quest to deliver and be the best (we’re more multitalented than we thought - we can do poetry as well!) we need the most brilliant people out there on board… and that’s where you come in.

We’re looking for someone with experience within the online, flexible benefits, or SME sector to join our fabulous SME team as a Consultant, ideally someone that has excellent communication skills (verbal and written!) to manage a portfolio of SME clients, taking full ownership and responsibility of being their sole point of contact for administration and consultancy of their employee benefits, including annual benefit renewals.

You will need to have an ability to build relationships quickly at all levels - and in varying types of organisations - so that you are seen as a trusted advisor who can push boundaries, achieve results and exceed customer expectations.

You need to be comfortable taking ownership for customers with a delivery-focused outlook, proactively managing your own time and being open to new ideas. You will be comfortable leading projects from the consulting perspective.

So, what you will be doing?

  • Managing a client portfolio and ensuring all SLA’s and agreements associated with your clients are met
  • Ensure the Professional Standards Scheme is successfully completed for your client portfolio when undertaking Insurance Mediation activities
  • Work within the SME practice team to assist in achieving the overall business plan and maximising cross practice understanding, opportunities and efficiencies, with a significant focus on upselling our technology platform and other products within your customer portfolio
  • Action and complete all planned client portfolio activities/ services in a timely manner which is consistent with the client agreement and brand values, including annual benefit renewals across Group risk, healthcare, and pension.
  • Responsible for the Administration and Consultancy of Health, Risk and Pension schemes including renewals, market reviews, accounts, claims, underwriting, new joiners, leavers and ad hoc queries
  • Assist all portfolio clients with the development of their Employee Benefits strategy in line with growing the business through new opportunities.
  • Revenue forecasting, controlling client fees and invoicing
  • Ensuring compliance is always maintained
  • Assisting clients with the development of their employee benefits strategy
  • You will work closely with the SME practice team to contribute toward the strategy of the team
  • Present to clients and internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Identify and present growth opportunities within your portfolio
  • Undertake Supervisory Scheme activities for all your client portfolio (supervisee) in the SME practice when undertaking Insurance Mediation activities.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the SME practice, and across the business.

Must haves for the role:

  • Must be able to demonstrate experience in successfully managing a portfolio of clients, showing financial targets achieved as well as upholding customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to identify and apply client’s needs and aspirations against services and products available within the SME practice to successfully expand the services provided to the client
  • Good understanding of all SME associated products in the current market.
  • Good understanding of industry regulations, compliance requirements and technical specifications.
  • Good understanding of the Employee Benefits sector and its associated products.
  • Display a supportive, ‘can do attitude’ both internally and externally.
  • Just be generally awesome!!

Ideally you will have or are working towards:

What will you get in return, I hear you ask?!

In return, you’ll get to work somewhere truly amazing. As a business, we’re passionate about the employee experience - and that’s not just the employee experience of our clients’ employees, but the experience of every single person who works for us too. You will also get…….

Interested? Please let us have your details. Start as you mean to go on, though: don’t just bore us with a standard CV and cover letter which you’ve used 100 times before for every other vacancy out there. We like people who are creative and challenge the norm, so reflect that in how you apply to come and work for us. A CV is useful, but make your application stand out from the crowd and do something different….we like different!
