Job ProfileElectrician required for our client, they are one of the UK’s most experienced consultants and installers of renewable heating systems. They design, supply, install and maintain systems that harvest energy from natural resources and convert it for use in homes, schools, offices and hotels.Electrician Position Overview
  • They are looking for an experienced electrical engineer/ electrician/ heating controls engineer to join our team of field engineers.
  • The role is to install and test the electrical works for renewable energy systems, principally heat-pump systems and Solar PV, to a prepared design.
  • You will also work on service repairs, fault finding, controls set up and commissioning. Handing over the completed system to the client when set to work.
  • Occasionally all engineers get involved in ground works and whatever else has to be done to complete a project on time.
  • You will work in a range of mainly country houses and high-end commercial jobs
  • The work may be in any part of the country but is predominantly in the South. A willingness to stay away from home is necessary.
Electrician Position Requirements
  • Trained and qualified in BS 7671 18th Edition
  • Experienced in installing, testing and producing test results according to UK wiring regulations.
  • Preferably you will have a previous knowledge, or at least a strong desire to learn about heat pump and PV systems. Heating system controls would be a benefit.
  • You show initiative in your work and have the discipline to follow designs and apply the regulations
  • You will have a problem-solving approach to work
  • Hold a valid ECS Gold card for electrical installation work
Electrician Position Remuneration
  • £30,000 - £45,000
