This contract electrical technician / engineer role involves investigating, fault finding and resolving any electrical issues to support the development of new and existing machine products.
  • Lab or field based testing on low voltage (LV) electrical machine systems
  • Building and assembling wire harnesses and electrical prototypes
To be successful in this position, electrical technicians / engineers will need to come with a broad range of electrical skills to understand and develop electrical schematics, wiring harness, fuse allocations, wire sizing, power calculations and CAN network tests.

Other Skills
  • HNC or degree in electrical engineering, electronics or similar
  • Demonstrates ability to take responsibility for the test, fault finding and build of Electrical subsystems and working with design teams to suggest changes
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings, use measurement and diagnostic tools - multimeters, test equipment etc and fault find on electrical systems
  • Background working on heavy machinery, rolling stock, truck & bus, rail, Oil and Gas or automotive electrical systems
  • Sound knowledge of low voltage DC systems - 12/24V
  • Ability to work as part of a large team interacting with engineers internally as well as external suppliers and test facilities
The company is offering 6 month rolling contract opportunities with the potential to take a permanent role if you are interested. They will supply all tools and software needed
