The Marston Green site deals with the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) of hydro-mechanical and electronic units for some of the world’s biggest airlines.

The Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Team strives to provide a best-in-class support service to over 280 employees. We are looking to recruit an EH&S professional within our EH&S function at Marston Green, Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to join a world renowned aerospace Company and an EH&S team which is continually leading the way to promote a healthy and safer workplaces for all employees.

Responsibilities

• 
  Review, update and internal auditing to both government legal compliance and corporate requirements
• Investigation of Near Misses, Unsafe Conditions, First Aid Incidents, using relentless root cause analysis
• Collect and collate raw data analyse and report to site and corporate teams using face to face and bespoke reporting tool
• Ensure investigations and corrective actions are managed effectively to closure
• Carry out EHS Inductions and training as required, conduct reviews and updates of training packs as required
• Site implementation of corporate EHS Programs and best practices into the documented Site procedures
• Support continued accreditation to both ISO 14001 Environmental Management system & 50001 Energy Management system including conducting internal audits, reporting of sustainability targets and participating in external audits / reviews
• Provide information, training, instruction, and advice to operational management and employees

• Provide internal and external data and reports as required for key HSE metrics and KPI’s

• Review and revision of health, safety & environmental policies, plans, documented procedures and forms
• Complete, Review Job Hazard Analysis, Ergonomic and COSHH Assessments for Risk Identification / reduction
• Reporting of the sites monthly Environmental Health and Safety metrics
• Monitor closure of action items
• Produce presentations for communication of monthly & annual Environmental Health & Safety information, also annual Management review for 14001 / 50001 standards

  
  Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• 
  5 years previous experience in a Health Safety Environmental role with Facilities / Maintenance experience desirable.
• NEBOSH General certificate or equivalent
• Knowledge / experience of ISO 14001 Environmental Management and ISO 50001 Energy Management systems
• Experience of completing Internal Audits
• Experienced within the aerospace or manufacturing sectors
• Good verbal and written communication skills Proficient in the use of Microsoft office (Word Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience of completing Risk Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments, COSHH Assessments Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines
