We are seeking a Data Reporting Analyst to join the Operational Excellence function within the Mechanical Systems, Actuation business unit. The role will be accountable for end-to-end analysis and data management of Actuation reporting metrics, predominantly related to SIOP and Materials Management functions.

Our ideal candidate will have the ability to distil large-scale analysis and present results accordingly, with experience of liaising across multiple value-streams, sites or functions. Working to deadlines, possessing excellent communication skills and the ability to be at ease collaborating with multiple functions, value-streams and sites, is essential.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end collection, analysis and data management of Actuation reporting metrics
  • Ability to distil large-scale analysis and present results to management at all levels
  • Accountable for improving current reporting processes through automation and maintaining data integrity through mistake proofing with necessary checks and measures
  • Implementation of key driver measures to track adherence and health of key SIOP and Materials Management processes
  • Diligently complete ad-hoc requests from the Actuation and Mechanical Systems leadership teams and other functions
  • Define and execute a strategy for centralised information sharing within Actuation, with appropriate level of detail to support various business needs
  • Provide an agreed format of data analysis in a timely manner to drive evidence-based decision making for the customer
  • Able to manage daily workload and multiple deadline requests from customers
  • Responsible for contributing to, maintaining and enhancing continuous improvement initiatives for continued improvement of services offered on reporting
  • Must be able to construct and implement standard work, in line with stakeholder requirements
  • Collaborate extensively with external / internal stakeholders on all reporting aspects
  • Must be able to work alone and as part of a multi-functional integrated team which is responsible for delivering to the agreed timescales with zero turn backs
  • Support and contribute to the ACE journey for the function to achieve desired performance levels for the Collins operating system
  • Collaborate with Actuation sites to drive closure of gaps in development and skills as needed, providing guidance, training and sharing of best practice where relevant

You will bring to the role:

  • Proven experience in Microsoft Excel at an expert level (Visual basic, etc.)
  • Competent in other Microsoft Office programs, particularly PowerPoint
  • 2 years minimum experience in previous Data Analytics role
  • 2 years minimum experience using ERP and MRP systems, preferably SAP
  • Broad understanding of Operational Excellence, SIOP and Materials Management functions
  • The ability to think creatively and apply influential personality to foster strong relationships and motivation within Actuation sites and functions
  • Excellent analytical skills, with an ability to analyse large amounts of data and draw clear conclusions and decisions

    Problem solving techniques and ability to work on own initiative and under pressure

    Good organisational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Passionate desire to excel against demanding customer expectations
