Job Description
If you’re an experienced and passionate EH&S Consultant ambitious to achieve your career potential, join our Strategic Environmental and Safety Consulting (SESC) team and we’ll make sure you get the experience and personalised learning support you need to take your career as far as you want it to go.

As a Senior EHS Consultant you will be focussed on helping our clients drive their EH&S performance in sectors as diverse as finance, industrial, manufacturing, transport, oil and gas, infrastructure, chemical, construction, aviation, local and central government and many other business sectors. This role would be prefect for someone ambitious and motivated by the opportunity to take a next career step, taking on new responsibilities and making an impact in our diverse business.

Your role will be based in our EHS team, delivering excellent EHS projects to our clients. However, the team works alongside our transactional services, sustainability, carbon and climate, digital and data analytics teams. So, a broad range of project opportunities will be open to you, to explore your passions and develop your technical & people skills within a highly experienced, supportive and motivated wider SESC group.

Day To Day Responsibilities May Include Amongst Others-

  • Visiting client sites, working independently with their EHS leaders to help improve their EHS performance and promote best practice
  • Linking in with the team meetings and supporting colleagues across the multiple SESC teams
  • Developing broader skills to support your technical growth with bid writing, budget building, creating win themes, and collaborating to help grow a successful consulting business

You will be actively encouraged to challenge yourself, learn new things, and use your skills wherever they can make an impact across our SESC business. The role is predominantly home based in the UK currently, consistent with government Covid 19 guidance. In more regular times, this role is flexible around a home and office-based balance.
Requirements

  • Experienced working on EHS and transactional service delivery, preferably within a consultancy environment or with experience of multi-disciplinary working and varied sector experience.
  • Registered Environmental Auditor with an accredited Institution, i.e. IEMA and certified in H&S by an accredited Institution, i.e. IOSH
  • You will need to be client committed to providing great service and solutions to improve our client’s businesses. Applying technical, people, commercial, quality and digital considerations into the design of a solution to a client’s requirements, should also play to your strengths
  • You should be a natural collaborator with an affinity for developing positive relationships with clients and colleagues, promoting SESC services both internally within our wider Arcadis business, and externally to clients
  • You should also be a fluent and confident report writer, possibly with experience technical reviewing the work of others and confident in understanding and applying quality and governance standards
  • You will need to be flexible in attitude, willing to go that extra mile and able to travel nationally and occasionally internationally to deliver quality work to our clients
