NHS Grampian is an intelligence led organisation with a reputation of drawing on high quality analytics to inform public health, planning, performance and improvement. We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and forward thinking individuals to join our team.We have a number of posts available and are looking for people with highly developed skills in: information extraction and manipulation of large datasets; application of relevant statistical approaches to complex problems; identification of data patterns; predictive modelling; information interpretation and data visualisation skills. All of the posts offer the opportunity to work with a broad range of stakeholders such as Public Health consultants, acute sector colleagues and local authorities, along with other health boards and national health bodies.
We are a busy team and are much in demand, so ability to deal with pressure is important. In return, we can offer flexible working arrangements and opportunities for development and progression. Continuous professional development and research is important to us and we provide the opportunity to develop academic links with the University of Aberdeen and the Aberdeen Centre for Health Data Science.
This post will provide information and intelligence to support the Acute Hospital and Mental Health sectors in strategic decision making and service planning; performance and governance; everyday operations and specific redesign and investment projects. He/ she will undertake complex analyses, for example of future service demand and the manpower and productivity required to manage patient throughput and meet government targets.
In the event that not all the essential person specification criteria are met, appointment to a band 5 post with a development programme leading to promotion to a band 6 on successful completion will be considered.
