Do you want to play a key role in supporting prospective students from a range of backgrounds to see themselves at Leeds and gain a place? Do you have experience of working with young people and an ability to relate to and motivate them?

The University of Leeds is one of the top 135 universities in the world. We have a truly global community, with more than 39,000 students from 170 different countries and over 9,000 staff of 100 different nationalities. Established in 1904, we have a strong tradition of academic excellence, reflected in first-class student education, along with world-leading research that has a real impact around the globe.

You will be pivotal in implementing and accelerating the Access and Student Success Strategy and the University’s Access and Participation Plan. You will work in partnership with staff across the University, as well as with schools/colleges, young people, and their influencers. You will develop a strategic plan to promote specific subject disciplines in an identified faculty area, as well as promoting the University of Leeds and the benefits of higher education more generally. Your initial area of focus in this role will be the University’s Faculty of Social Sciences and Leeds University Business School.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with excellent strategic and leadership skills. With excellent organisational skills, you will also be willing to work flexibly to ensure that deadlines are met. Using your high-level communication and partnership working skills, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with schools and colleges across West Yorkshire and beyond, as well as routinely liaising with academic staff, central University services, and students.
