My client is a fast paced, high growth leading product supplier. Challenging the traditional bricks and mortar retailer model within the industry, the business has transitioned into a pure online offering, enabling the consumer to purchase quality products and brands through a trustworthy online source.

The company has delivered impressive results achieving minimum 25% year on year revenue growth over the past decade. This consistent success has allowed them to build a strong balance-sheet and cash position. The impact of COVID-19 has seen a dramatic increase in 2020 turnover, so they now enjoy a £38 million annual turnover and creating a clear opportunity for further UK and International growth.

Following their success, the business has heavily invested into their infrastructure, including a new website which involved replatforming to Magento 2. As such, they now need to invest in their marketing team and recruit an eCommerce Manager who can take ownership of the platform, ensure it runs smoothly and also help generate sales via all online channels.

Critical impact areas for the incoming eCommerce Manager will include:

· Create and implement a successful eCommerce strategy and manage the day-to-day web content

· Ensure a smooth transition for the replatforming of the website to Magento 2

· Manage all online activity in relation to traffic acquisition, sales, conversion and a/b testing and reporting

· Research market in order to discover new trends and technologies in order to improve website performance

· Analyse various data in order to deliver data driven strategies in order to deliver top performance and achieve KPIs

· Develop content calendar and oversee website uploads and landing pages development

· Report on performance including average order value, conversion rate, customer retention etc

· Maximise the profit contribution of e-Commerce sales through effective management of stock levels and accurate forecasting of sales

· Identify and report on trends in trading performance and develop sales forecasts for peak trading periods online

· Monitor and measure site performance, while using this to make recommendation and improve performance

· Use Google Analytics to understand their typical customer and the journey they are taking

The successful candidate will evidence:

· Be aware of current and upcoming trends in order to implement any changes.

· Able to create and implement the eCommerce strategy and look after the day-to-day web content.

· Evaluate each channel performance and make relevant changes. Also use data obtained from Google Analytics to understand the customer and optimise the customer journey.

· Becoming the link between the Brand Manager and Digital Marketing Manager, as well as working closely with the Head of Marketing, web developer and external agencies.

· Confident in SEO, PPC, email, organic/paid social, affiliate and content in order to use each channel effectively. Magento 2 experience is also required.

· Baby product or related sector experience would be advantageous but other sectors will be considered.

· Able to think out of the box and create engaging campaigns, ensuring all targets are met.
