Early Years Teaching Assistant
  • Part-time (Mon- Fri, 12.30pm-3.30pm)
  • Start date: Thursday 2nd September 2021
  • End date: Friday 22nd July 2022
  • GBP10.20-12.20 p/h (depending on experience)
  • Clitheroe based Primary School (BB7)
A primary school in Clitheroe (BB7) are currently seeking a EYFS Teaching Assistant. This role is to start in September 2021, initially until the end of the academic year, however, there is a possibility that the role will become a permanent position. The role is required on a part-time basis (12.30pm-3.30pm), children within the EYFS class will require additional support as many are ’not school ready’.

The school is an average sized primary school and behaviour within the school is good. The school has an excellent range of resources which provides children with a wide range of opportunities inside and outside of the classroom. As the successful applicant, you would be responsible for taking on a range of duties including; supporting children in small groups as well as on a 1:1 basis, implementing positive behaviour strategies, and building relationships with pupils. The Head Teacher is keen to find a candidate with confidence in their knowledge of Phonics and the EYFS framework.

The Candidate
  • Level 2 qualified or above
  • Experience in Nursery, EYFS or a Primary School setting
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about the Early Years Sector
  • Core Subject Knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Good behaviour management skills
  • Knowledge of Phonics schemes of work
