The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Nemo’s Nursery as a Level 5 Senior Practitioner, Childcare Apprentice.

Housed in a beautifully large Victorian House which has been refurbished and set amongst extensive grounds in Canford Cliffs, it’s Nursery and Pre-school provide an extremely friendly and professional environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to complete a Childcare apprenticeship within a fantastic setting, learning from experienced childcare professionals, progressing in your childcare career.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

  • Line Management responsibilities
  • Supporting children with personal care
  • Supporting with feeding and snacks
  • Preparing activities for the children
  • Participating in activities with the children
  • Helping with messy play
  • Working with other team members to keep the setting clean and tidy
  • Must be willing to get involved
  • Adhering to safeguarding procedures
  • Keeping the children safe at all times
  • Following health and safety procedures
  • Observing children
  • Interacting with parents

Qualities required;

  • The ideal candidate will need to be a great team player, confident and outgoing and must be willing to carry out a variety of tasks, as well as be enthusiastic and willing to learn.
  • You must also be imaginative, creative and be committed to a career within Childcare. At the end of the course, there is the possibility of full-time employment for the right candidate.

Hours;

  • The nursery is open between the hours of 08:30-17:30 and runs throughout 51 weeks of the year.
  • The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week and be flexible with working shift patterns.

Requirements;

  • A level 3 Childcare Qualification is essential when applying for this role
  • You must be able to gain a clear DBS
  • GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent
