Job OverviewDo you have compassion for individuals who use alcohol/substances and have mental health needs? Understanding the two are often linked.Are you passionate about improving access to treatment for these individuals? Able to work creatively to engage individuals with complex emotional and social needs?Are you confident to work autonomously under the guidance and supervision of senior staff members?If you have answered ’yes’ to the above, then we would love to hear from you.We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join the CMHT as a dual diagnosis recovery worker. Working alongside the dual diagnosis lead and the wider mental health service to improve engagement with both mental health service and turning point.Good IT skills are essential, as is the ability to travel across Mendip independently.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will actively engage and work with a small number of adults with co-existing mental health and substance misuse needs (dual diagnosis) who at times present with extremely challenging and high risk behaviours. You will form part of the dual diagnosis team who work within the community mental health service dedicated to providing active engagement and treatment with this group of people who often encounter difficulties with engaging with treatments and services.
