    The Role

    Our client is a market leader in the Automotive Engineering sector and are well-known for their fantastic work-environment. They are seeking a driver to undertake general driving duties, ensuring that consignments are safely transported, loaded and unloaded to the correct destinations including delivery to and collection from, suppliers and customers.

    Responsibilities
    • Deliver and collect parts from Sub Contractors and Customers. You must be able to drive vehicles up to 3.5 tonne GVW and to transport materials in a safe and legal manner.
    • On a daily basis you will be liaising with the External Manufacturing Buyers to ensure that the daily delivery and collection schedule is prepared and adhered to. You must report any non-delivery or non-collection and to assist with alternative solutions.
    • You’ll perform and record weekly vehicle checks on Company cars and vans and inform the External Manufacturing buyer of any repairs, servicing or MOT tests required. The company vehicles must be kept clean and presentable (inside and out) at all times
    • You must ensure that all rules of the road are adhered to at all times and that all Company vehicles are loaded within and not over the maximum capacity.
    About You
    • You will have a clean UK driving license and eligibility to drive a variety of vehicles.
    • You must have excellent written and communication skills as you will be representing the company whilst at suppliers, customers and on the public roads.
    • You’ll be happy to undertake any additional duties as requested by management and comfortable to work unsupervised.
