Have you ever considered Driving as a career? We are currently looking for individuals who are either starting out in their careers or potentially considering a career change. This can be quite a costly process however our Wincanton Professional Driver Programme offers this to you for free!!

Wincanton Professional Driver programme
The 12 months training you undertake will cover everything from your medical to getting your category C or C + E licence. All you need is a valid UK driving licence to take part.
You will start your journey working in our Screwfix Warehouse in Lichfield supporting our team picking, packing and getting a gtreat overview of the operations. You will be working rottaiong shifts 6.00-14.00 / 14.00-22.00 5 days out of 7. The pay rate is £9.12 per hours.
On successful completion of your Driving tests (approximately 4-6 months after you started) you will be able to start driving and take one of our many Driver positions within the region earning up to £25K-35K per annum – role and location dependant.

The apprenticeship includes licence acquisition training for Cat C or C+E LGVs and is delivered through a blended combination of on the job tuition plus off the job master classes, workshops, e-learning content and professional discussions. Additional training may be included to ensure you are fully compliant and safe.
Entry Requirements and Selection process
•Right to work in the UK
•Full Driving Licence
•Be 18 years old or over
• Be a resident in the UK or EEA for at least the previous three years on the first day of the apprenticeship.
Our selection process
- You will need to complete an online application form which includes eligibility questions
- You will then be required to complete an online hazard perception assessment
- If successful, the next stage will be a video Interview and finally if all goes well you will then be invited to visit the site to meet the team.
Please note you may be asked to complete a DBS check on successful completion of the Apprenticeship.
