Geocore Site Investigations Limited are a site investigations contractor delivering work nationally and specialising in the investigation of domestic subsidence providing detailed site surveys including foundation inspections, drainage CCTV’s and Geothermal boreholes. Having been established for 21 years, our experienced teams operate a fleet of equipment including rotary rigs, mini-rigs, hand held window sampling equipment and concrete coring. We are RISQS Audit Approved and hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001, SSIP SMAS, Safecontractor certification and Investors in People.

We now have an opportunity for a Drainage Technician to join our team in Redcar to actively maintain drainage networks on a reactive or scheduled basis to contract specifications.

Drainage Technician – Redcar

Responsibilities

Maintain sewer/ stormwater systems, including regular prescribed checks on grilles

overflow manholes and other drainage assets

Ability to maintain and operate high pressure cleaner

Understand the use of CCTV in problem solving and locating Rodding – unblocking drainage systems

Flushing for maintenance and/or response

Relining, Patch Lining, Excavating and Replacing. Report all hazards / incidents / near hits

Transportation of materials

Experience

Any other tasks required by management

2 years’ experience in a similar position.

Full UK Driving Licence is essential

CSCS Card

Safe Working in Confined Spaces Certificate desirable (training will be provided))

GCSE in Maths and English, Grade C or above (or equivalent)

Salary And Benefits

Experience of grading drains is essential

£24,000 - £26,500 Depending on Experience

Over time - Basic hours are 39 per week, with employees working between 45-52 hours on average - Great Overtime potential!!
